WHAT HAPPENED
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani recently found himself in the crosshairs of the "activist" class, labeled a "traitor" and accused of "genocide" by anti-Israel protesters. The incident occurred outside an Oct. 7 vigil near Union Square, where, presumably, people were gathered to remember the victims of actual atrocities committed by Hamas.
AND NOW FOR THE BULLSHIT
Apparently, attending a memorial for people butchered by terrorists is now considered a capital offense in some circles, particularly if you're a politician who hasn't bowed low enough to the latest wave of progressive dogma. The sheer, unadulterated intellectual poverty required to scream "genocide" at a local mayor for showing up to mourn Israelis and others murdered on October 7th is truly breathtaking. It’s utter horseshit. It’s like accusing the fire chief of arson for attending a vigil for fire victims. This isn't protest; it’s an emotional tantrum cloaked in revolutionary aesthetics, designed less to achieve anything tangible and more to signal one's own perceived moral superiority within an ever-shrinking echo chamber. "Genocide" used to mean something horrific; now, it’s just background noise for when you disagree with a councilman about bike lanes, or in this case, a basic human gesture of remembrance.
The outrage machine required feeding, and facts were apparently out of stock. These are the same brilliant minds who cheer for "decolonization" while simultaneously demanding a "free Palestine" that would involve the colonization of existing Israeli land. Consistency is, as always, for the fascists, not the enlightened. One wonders if the protesters have a flow chart to determine which public figures are sufficiently "anti-oppression" before they decide to turn on them like rabid chihuahuas on a dropped hotdog. Today, it's Mamdani, a man of South Asian descent, getting branded a "traitor" by people who claim to champion intersectionality. Tomorrow, who knows? Perhaps the squirrels in Central Park will be too Zionist for their liking.
Because nothing says moral clarity like disrupting a vigil for terror victims to accuse a politician of mass murder. It's truly a masterclass in modern activism: maximum volume, minimum substance.
THE BOT SAYS
Human emotional responses to perceived ideological non-compliance frequently manifest as aggressive verbal attacks, irrespective of logical coherence or factual basis. The deployment of terms like "genocide" in this context serves as a strategic discrediting mechanism, intended to de-legitimize the target rather than to accurately describe their actions. This behavior is statistically correlated with radicalized subgroups exhibiting high levels of groupthink and low tolerance for internal dissent.
THE BRAIN SAYS
Every revolutionary movement eventually starts eating its own, and the modern progressive purity spiral is no exception. First, you purge the reactionaries, then the moderates, then the insufficiently radical. Soon, you're just left with a dwindling number of zealots screaming "genocide" at each other over who has the purest intentions. It's a tale as old as time, only now it's performed on TikTok and livestreamed from outside a New York vigil. The real tragedy isn't just the absurdity, but the utter devaluing of actual historical horrors when such terms are thrown around like cheap confetti.
MAYBE…
Maybe the problem isn’t that Americans stopped trusting the news. Maybe the miracle is that anyone survived twenty years of panels yelling at each other long enough to notice.
