Democratic Party Announces Complete Unity. Please Stop Asking Questions.
The famous Big Tent has developed a small structural problem: nobody agrees where the fucking entrance is.

THE REAL HEADLINE: Democratic candidates in competitive Midwestern races are taking different approaches to transgender-related policies, with some moving toward more conservative positions and others emphasizing different issues.
AND NOW FOR THE BULLSHIT
The Democratic Party's famous Big Tent is apparently undergoing renovations.
One wing wants to move left. Another wants to move right. A third would desperately like everyone to shut up and discuss grocery prices.
And the consultants?
They're underneath a folding table, developing a PowerPoint presentation called “Our Values Are Unchanged, Subject to Regional Availability.”
In Iowa and Ohio, candidates are adopting different positions and messaging strategies on contentious policies. Reuters reports that some Democrats are moving toward more conservative language while others redirect the conversation.
Which is perfectly normal for a large coalition.
What's ridiculous is the political industry's insistence that every strategic disagreement must be described as either heroic unity or catastrophic civil war.
Imagine a family Thanksgiving where everyone has radically different opinions, nobody agrees about the seating arrangements, and the host announces:
“We are completely united around our shared dinner values.”
Five minutes later, someone's throwing mashed potatoes.
Welcome to political messaging.
THE BOT SAYS
Multiple voter groups. Different districts. Conflicting policy preferences.
Expected outcome: different candidate positions.
Actual media diagnosis: PARTY IN CRISIS.
The software is not broken. The coalition just has approximately seventeen incompatible plugins.
THE BRAIN SAYS
Political parties have been ideological marriages of convenience since before Washington had functioning plumbing.
The real absurdity is that candidates now need a focus group to determine whether their personal convictions are electorally compatible with their own mouths.
MAYBE…
Maybe candidates could explain what they believe without waiting for three consultants and a spreadsheet to approve the fucking sentence.
And maybe we should stop calling every disagreement a historic political transformation.
It's a political party, not a synchronized swimming team. Although judging by the panic, somebody's already drowning in the shallow end.
