Congress: Where Representation Isn't Just a Percentage Game!
Only 9% of House staffers are Hispanic, proving diversity is all talk.

In a stunning revelation that would shock absolutely no one, a recent report has exposed that a mere 9 percent of House staffers are Hispanic, despite the fact that Hispanic and Latino folks account for around 20 percent of the U.S. population. Apparently, the House decided they were just too busy keeping it old-school to manage any actual progress.
It's almost as if Congress was handed a diversity report and promptly tossed it into the shredder, following a heated debate on whether the shredder itself was too racially ambiguous. Because nothing screams 'inclusive democracy' like a legislative body that looks like a 1950s family reunion—sans the joyous atmosphere.
Perhaps they believe 'being diverse' means allowing the same old folks to tell the same old jokes—only with a tan!
Meanwhile, this heartfelt call for representation is as empty as the promises made during election seasons. Politicians are quick to slap a 'diversity' sticker on their campaigns, but behind closed doors, they’re flipping through a familial scrapbook of just good ol' boys, only they didn’t bother with a photo album of anyone else.
Isn’t it sweet how these numbers paint a lovely picture of a nation united, while Congress continues to pretend the census is a menu selection? You order diversity on the side but still devour that homogenous meatloaf of bureaucratic incompetence.
So, as America becomes a patchwork of cultures, the House of Representatives offers a masterclass in 'how to ignore reality.' Truly, kudos to them!
